A day of touch and rainYesterday and today was this years running of the EJET Touch Football Tournament, in Mima city. This touch football tournament has been running for many, many years. It attracts teams from all over Japan and is a lot of fun. The games are a lot of fun, but that tends to be secondary to the BBQ that happens on Saturday night, or so I've heard. I've always had work commitments on Saturdays so being able to go up there and play on Saturday has never been something I can do. The team I helped create played in their second tournament ever this weekend and we ended up winning 2 games over all. I'm very pleased for everyone. We can only get better from here. I'm not currently physically able to play but when I can play again, it's full speed ahead... Time to get fit!!! Until next time... The air is getting betterIt seems that Spring is about to break into Summer. The weather is heating up and the amount of pollen and other alergens is on the decline. Yayy on the declining alergens, Nay on the heat. But, we do get to see some amazing cloud formations. Until next time... "DEVIL HOT""Devil Hot" is the flavour of Pringles that my wife decided to buy for me yesterday. She knows I like spicy food so she thought I'd like to try them. They were a little spicy but I don't think they were hot enough to be called Devil. Still, they were nice. Chilly with a little garlic thrown in. I think they'd got down well with a nice chilled beer or 3. Until next time... It tis the seasonIt's excursion season for school kids here in Japan. I'm not sure why, but there really is a "let's all do this together" mentality here with everything. So, what ends up happening is that at any places, for example the zoo, you end up with literally thousands of kids there on the same day. I'm sure there could be a way to stagger things just a little. So, I'm off to the zoo again on Thursday with my son. This will be the 5th year in a row that we've been there. I'm pretty sure I know my way around by now. Until next time... Waking up feeling somewhat out there.Have you ever woken up in the morning and wondered why your body didn't quite feel like your own? That's kind of how I feel today. I can't quite put my finger on it but things just don't quite seem to be where they should be. I guess I'll just put my head down and charge on anyway. I just hope this feeling goes away. It's quite disconcerning. Anyhow, here's a pic of some of the roses that are blooming in our garden at the moment. It's the "puff" type of rose. Just opens up and keeps opening. :) Until next time. |
