The search for coffeeI've been trying to find a way of making the best cup of coffee at home now for many years. Here, we tend to do a lot of American style drip coffee. It's nice and all, but I do tend to the stronger types. European coffee is my goal. Now I know I could spend the 250,000 and buy a beautiful coffee press, however, justifying the expense to those near and dear is a little difficult. I've recently started trying to boil the coffee on the stove. For only 1 minute. The up sides are my coffee is stronger and has a lot more flavour and I'm using less coffee beans. In other words, more bang for my buck. Still, it's just not quite there. I'll keep trying. Until next time... My latest creationIt was very cold again today. I played touch football again but we didn't have many people. I've been trying to get back into doing some rc maintenance again, this included doing some bodies that I've had sitting around. I did manage to get the Porsche finished as well as a buggy wing. Long day looking down and much tape has been used. Good fun!! Until next time... At what point...At what point do we finally stop and say enough is enough? Where Is our breaking point? When is it ok to start to look out for ourselves first? When did I give away everything in order to let someone else live the life they desire? These are the questions I'm asking myself today. I don't think there is an answer, but the process of understanding the questions, I'm hoping, will provide some clarity. Until next time... The need for action.Sometimes there is a need for action before the time to think has been granted. I fear that what has passed in the Japanese government today fits that descrition. My kids and their kids are now further in debt. Sad times ahead. Until next time. People in powerI'm just wondering in this day in age how much trust we can put in the people whom supposedly wield the power over the common man. I'm not just asking about politicians here. Teachers, priests, community leaders etc al, have their own agendas so it seems. Power trips, selfishness, back-room deals, and greed seem fairly common place these days. I'm going to guess that this is nothing new but the availability of information and the increase in the transfer of information has somewhat broadened the view in these dealings. It's sad. You should be able t trust these people. It's this trust that holds our communities together. Until next time... |
