Do you own an offroad rc vehicle?

I spent a little time today with my Inferno at the Offroad track. There is something about running the vehicle that just makes you smile. I love both onroad and offroad but the feeling you get at the end of the day is quite different. With onroad, you tend to be very tired. It does take a huge amount of concentration. However, with offroad you just seem to want to smile more. It's so much fun.

So, here is my offer. If you own an offroad vehicle, bring it down to ラジコン天国 on any Saturday and we'll run together. It's just so much fun.

Oh, and after running on a muddy track before and spending a huge number of hours cleaning, I tend only to run on dry days :)

Until next time....

Back to full speed

After an ending of the year that I'd rather forget, I'm now back to full speed. To be honest, it does really feel good to be doing something again.

I've managed to finish something that I've been sweating about for some time. It's not a huge result, but it's a result all the same. I'm quite chuffed with myself. It's nice creating something handy and "cute" in a technical way.

Until tomorrow....

What is really important?

I have someone whom I must work closely with that just complains all the time. I know his culture has a reputation for it but I have a feeling even he would top that.

Complaining does have its place. It allows us the opportunity to voice our opinions and dissagreements. I'm all for that.

But, it comes down to what really is important in life. Complaining about something that is going to affect your health or well-being is justified I believe. Complaining about the type of wine that is served by ones wife on Xmas day is just not even worth considering.

I have made a new years resolution this year to basically make better decisions, more in tune with the way I would like my life to go, rather than just going with the flow. I think listening to this person is just not fitting in with my new outlook.

If we spent more time working on the things that are important and matter to us in the long run, we wouldn't waste so much enegy on the small things. Life would be much sweeter.

Have a great day.... Until tomorrow...

Goodbye to 2012

I haven't written on here for a few days. My family, and I included, have been downed by the norovirus.

First by youngest son came down with it, brought home from his kindergarten. I'm the closest to my kids, so I was the next to come down. I was with him in hospital for 2 days and nights before showing the symptoms. Next my middle child came down with it. So all the males in my family are not well. Not quite the way I wanted to see the new year in.

I believe that the thing that we should be afraid of the most is these kind of diseases. Forget about the chance of nuclear war or waste. Forget about the chance of war in general. I believe the first thing that is going to bring us to our knees is something like a "common" virus.

A virus, like norovirus, attacks the populations most vulnerable members, our young and elderly. This in turn has the potential to wipe out both our past and our future and also tie up the current generation trying to stem the tide.

The ease at which these viruses is spread just scares me.

So as for 2013, my first resolution and wish is that it is a year full of health. May health be brought to you and your family through the next year.

I'm also going to try and give us drinking cola. I mainly drink Coke rather than drinking water. So that is my next resolution.

It's a little cold.

I love talking about the weather. It's really quite interesting for me. At home, we had hot weather or the violent storm every now and then. But here, it changes almost every day. Hot/Cold/Windy/Rainy/Stormy etc... Love it.

And with it all, we get great sunsets like this.
